しばらく眠ってたthinkpad R51
プロセッサー 	インテル(R) Pentium(R) M プロセッサ 725 1.60GHz
チップセット 	Intel 855GME
http://www-06.ibm.com/jp/domino04/pc/support/Sylphd13.nsf/jtechinfo/SYP0-031858A

ubuntu 10.04から10.10にupdateしたら
youtubeや音楽ファイル(flacなど）再生時音飛びするようになりました。
詳しい検討はしてないのですが、

sudo gedit /etc/default/grub で

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.modeset=1"
を
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi=off"
に変更

acpi=offにしたら改善しました。
