Devops / Python Developer, Rugby, UK

credativ is looking for a Python Developer to join the technical team. 
As one of our Python programmers, you will be working on customer 
projects, providing technical support, bug fixing and troubleshooting in 
our Open Source Support Centre. We offer varied and interesting work 
assignments which involve developing new technologies, as well as 
improving free software packages.

Benefits include flexible working conditions, generous holiday 
allowance, casual and comfortable offices in a town centre location and 
an opportunity for travel. This position is preferably office based in 
Rugby, with the possibility of working from London. Annual salary 
£26-35K depending on relevant skills/experience.

Required skills:

* Expert programming skills, especially C and Python (3-5 years minimum 
experience)
* Object oriented framework development in Python
* Experience in GNU/Linux system administration
* Ubuntu packaging experience
* An understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, encryption, computer 
privacy and security
* Good spoken and written English, together with time management and 
project planning skills
* Flexibility with job responsibilities and tasks
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable skills:

* Affinity with the open source community, preferably with evidence of 
contributions and history of communication via email, IRC and bug trackers
* Involvement with other projects, particularly Postgres, OpenERP,
Nagios / ICINGA / Open Object / OpenERP
* Test-driven development
* Knowledge of other programming languages, e.g. Ruby, C++, Java, Perl
* Databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL
* Troubleshooting / debugging
* Release management experience
* Experience in packaging for Debian, Ubuntu or RPM based distributions
* Experience of creating presentations or delivering training
* Experience of working in a commercial setting
