Trovato qualcosina.. credo.

Non  pigliatevela per le righe e il troncamento.. fa tutto l'editor di
yahoo...

Riporto sotto prima una tabellina di un test 'rudimentale' trovata nei
forum  con le relative conclusioni, che sembrerebbero suggerire che tante partizioni possono rallentare il boot e altre operazioni  (anche usando
filesystems più veloci..) - probabilmente un livello di sicurezza utile sui servers.

In fondo posto il link ad un articolo con dei test accurati su diversi aspetti di diversi filesystems.  Le differenze non sembrano tanto significative, comunque tra le conclusioni si legge:  "btrfs is clearly the best, having first place in 3/5 tests being really close to first in the following two. Reiserfs and ext4 perform really well in this area";
"With ext4 being the default filesystem for Ubuntu 9.10, having SSD disk, you'll notice that it boots really fast:  [cat]  btrfs being equally fast (or even faster) than ext4 it's amazing what features it delivers..".

Con l'avviso che btrfs è ancora in fase di test..  ma la versione è data praticamente per definitiva.

Penso di provare btrfs sulla home  (tenendomi i backup dei dati..) e xfs
per la partizione di backup con le immagini delle altre partizioni..
Casomai riformatto....

open word file         16.8 sec to open a word file on eight boot-ups
open firefox           10.95 sec to open firefox on three boot-ups
TOTAL____=155.45 seconds

It look like it doesn't make very much difference whether a user goes to all the work of making a lot of separate file systems, at least from the results of these tests.
If anything, it could result in a slightly slower system.
