Vedi nelle mail precedenti, c'è una mia vecchia mail su una scheda trident che
non voleva aumentare la risoluzione.
In pratica nel file xorg.conf non viene creata la SubSection "Display" nella
Section "Screen", nella quale metti "Modes" 1024x768 (o comunque la risoluzione
che ti serve).
Una cosa così:

Section "Screen"
	# SCREEN = SCHEDA VIDEO + MONITOR
	Identifier	"ScreenZero"
	Monitor		"MonitorZero"
	Device		"VideoZero"
	DefaultDepth	24
		SubSection "Display"
			Depth	24
			Modes	"1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
		EndSubSection
