chipset :-)
toshiba tecra A4
Pentium M 750 /75W-5A
512MB memoria
80GB Hrdisk (5400 RPM serial ATA)
15 WXGA TFT SCREEN
DVD super mlti drive (2-layer)
56k modem
lan (Marvel Yukon)
wireless lan (802.11G)
bluetooth

Hard disk diviso in:
30GB /dev/sda1 (wins)
50GB /dev/sda2 (Debian/ubuntu Breezy 5.10)

Dopo aver letto

tutto fiducioso parto con la procedura suggerita :-)
Ma... :-)

> FATAL: Error inserting Intel536 (/lib/modules/2.6.12-9-686/kernel/drivers/char/Intel536.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

:-/

Rprovo con il kernel -386 ma:

> FATAL: Error inserting Intel536 (/lib/modules/2.6.12-9-386/kernel/drivers/char/Intel536.ko): No such device

quindici giorni :-(
Risolto come scritto poco sopra

> The modem can be set up by:

> # su - root

> # slmodemd --alsa -c YOUR_COUNTRY hw:1
>
