Attached to this message you will find the message template
file(gnomebaker.pot). Rename it it.po and do the translation. I've
also attached the pt_BR.po so you can have an idea what your it.po
will look like.
The structure of the file is a sequence of pairs of msgid and msgstr.
msgid is the original text in english, msgstr (which is initially
empty) is the translation of that message into your language. So, what
you have to do is filling the msgstrs.
There are some programs (like gtranslator or kbabel) that understands
the structure of the file and shows a list of messages to you and you
can go selecting message by message and filling in the translation.
But you can easily do it in your favorite text editor.
