Subject: verne.freenode.net Packet filtered and IPv6
To: ubuntu-users at lists.ubuntu.com
Yesterday verne.freenode.net stopped working. It looks like they are
firewalling the IRC server. Anyone know why?
It really kind of sucks since it is the only IPv6 IRC server listed in
the US at:
http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml
Since I don't have one of those cloaks I prefer to use tunnelbroker and IPv6...
$ host verne.freenode.net
verne.freenode.net has address 216.155.130.130
verne.freenode.net has IPv6 address 2001:19f0:feee::dead:beef:cafe
$ ping verne.freenode.net
PING verne.freenode.net (216.155.130.130) 56(84) bytes of data.
