Yes, I suppose certain details can be tricky, which is why I never tried to
implement a homebrew version of this on Ubotwo - afraid of bots joining and
parting in infinite loops, and such.
I think it's likely that we'll have some problems at the beginning, but over
time this should be a useful feature.
Fixing the root cause of the delayed joining, as far as I could understand,
would basically involve ditching supybot, so letting Ubotu "#1" take over
channel by channel, with the backup bot only leaving when it sees Ubotu
joining, is probably the route to take...
Also, I imagine that making all the bots use the same nickname, as proposed,
could result in nick collisions on netsplits (well, on relink). Perhaps it
might be better to keep the nicknames separate, or to not make the backups
kick in on netsplits - but I think that'd be a good thing to have...
Let's let Seveas work out the details anyway, then we'll whine when it all
doesn't work! :-)
