automatix questions

ok i have heard automatix is fixed/or getting fixed. is this something
we are advising people to use with/without easyubuntu being around? i
know the people from automatix and easyubuntu are trying to get along. i
have never seen either script personally and i dont advise either due to
it really not being something new users should rely on to install
software. but i guess where do "we" stand on either project?
