Reg installation mode logic.

Dear All,
Initially, I tried to migrate Ubiquity installer with Debian 6.0.
But later I found that debian is not supporting Ubiquity, i dropped my idea
to use ubiquity in my custom debian derivative. Now I have created an shell
based installer simply derived from remastersys and for GUI, I have used
Gambas. The derivative is working fine with my installer.

My query is, Ubuntu has two mode while booting it. One is Live mode. It
loads the live user desktop by default. A icon available in the desktop used
to install the Ubuntu. Second mode is, "Direct Installation mode". It loads
the ubiquity installer directly without loading the live users or GDM. I
need such mode only for installation. But I could not understand how the
ubiquity is differentiating this two mode. I found in the boot option that
the special argument "only-ubiquity" may be doing the job. If so, how can I
implement such installation mode in my installer without using Ubiquity?. Do
I need to create an separate ramdisk for installation mode and live mode
like debian?. Or is it possible to pass an argument from boot loader to boot
the OS with specific user?.

Kindly help me to clarify the logic behind the "Install Ubuntu" mode.

Thanks & Regards,
Prakash A S.
