Custom Kernel for Installer

Dear Installer Team,

I am creating a custom install CD with post installation scripts that  
requires dm_crypt and aes-i586 modules.  dm_crypt exists in the  
current installer. However, aes-i586 does not.  Is there an easy was  
to replace the installer kernel?  I imagine this would be similar to  
changing the kernel to support different hardware.  Possibly someone  
has written a Howto?  Can anyone provide advice?
