Phillip has done his part of this now (thanks!), and I have made some
further changes to fuse and ntfs-3g to add udebs and add initramfs
hooks. I've also written a main inclusion report, which I hope Martin
will have time to review at some point:

Unfortunately I am going to be on holiday all next week, and I have not
had time to do much more than throw all the pieces in and hope they fit;
I haven't had time to do a full system test of the assemblage. Agostino,
would you be able to try all this out and see how well it works for you?
Some minor alternate installer changes (dependencies, modprobing fuse in
the right place, etc.) are needed to make use of this, so it's probably
best to do this in a normal system for now.

Has any more work been done on this, even in a branch? I haven't found
anything.
I also noticed that the part of wubi that creates virtual disk files
ought to be able to be removed, since partman-auto-loop is able to do
this. Do you agree?
Thanks,
