My apologies, please disregard my previous post. I've just blown up my whole
partition setup and started over and this time the MD device worked.
Strange that with the previous setup no matter how many times I tried, Ubuntu
would always fail with the same errors, while Debian Etch would pick up the
partitions correctly and assemble MD no problem. Perhaps it has something to
do with the fact that Debian recognizes my PCI SiI680 IDE controller as IDE
and Ubuntu makes it look like SCSI?
