some suggests about ubuntu installer

Hi, all.

I am doing some jobs on ubuntu installer. I have some
suggests after browser the sources of ubuntu
installer.

1. Choose-mirror-bin will try to connect to
archive.ubuntu.com before configure proxy. Why it must
connect to archive.ubuntu.com? Ubuntu installer only
need to connect to the mirror.
2. Some packages will download files of edgy-updates
or edgy-security, but not all mirror have edgy-updates
and edgy-security. Why not use wget to check which
distributions and components do the mirror have in
choose-mirror-bin package?
