The problem with the check boxes is that whatever font you may have chose is<br>
1. Not able to understand the formatting (in your case non)<br>
2. Is not the appropriate font<br>
<br>
in case of No 2 you may have to install the appropriate font<br>
<br>
to install the font<br>
<br>
make a directory in your /home/user called .fonts<br>
<br>
copy font there and it should begin working immediately<br>
