</div>1. Ubuntu server install CD has no GUI packages.<br>
2. Yes you can simply do 'sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop' and it<br>
will download the packages form internet and install them.<br>
<br>
Ubuntu server is not any special operating system. It just includes<br>
packages related to server applications. The packages are form same<br>
repository as normal Ubuntu desktop edition.<br>
