I think they are from from Intex. There was a lengthy Talk on Orkut Ubuntu India Community regarding this... May people complained about this... They never work fine on Linux. I suggest you to go for D-Link / any other NIC cards. D-Link even ships with Linux driver CD. Don't think you will ever need it anyways... D-link costs around 300rs.
