[ubuntu-in] Software to merge text and images

Hi

Am wondering if there is an easy way to align images alongside text.

Basically I have a list of information and a corresponding image

some thing akin to a photo catalogue

problem being the text infor is in a spreadsheet and the images are of
course

or is there a software that can arrange the pictures into a catalogue
(first) and then the text inputted.

Right now am working in spreadsheet / writer - and both are a pain because
every time an image shifts (for any reason) the whole file goes into death
throes and almost every images needs to be realigned
