[ubuntu-in] Suggestions for a good workhorse laptop running Linux

My colleague is using Dell Inspiron 3542 for the past 6 months for work
and happy with it.That time it came with Ubuntu 12.04 and he upgraded to
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS version without any problems.
