[ubuntu-in] How to setup Wacom Intuos 4 tablet

Hi
am running Ubuntu 12.04 . I have a wacom intuos 4 6 x 9 device. The drivers
are installed but some how it runs in "mouse compatibility mode" and unable
to get it to run as an input tablet.

Am unable to get it to work in gimp, krita, inkscape or mypaint in the
tablet to screen mode

any ideas
