I am conducting this workshop at CSI Mumbai Chapter. This workshop is
a part of MS Windows to GNU/Linux transition so my not be highly
technical.
If you find anyone may benefit in terms of knowledge gain from this

Virus Free PC Operating System

Introduction:
These days, technology market has evolved with multiple options for
consumers right from devices to software applications. Once feared to
be difficult, the GNU/Linux Operating system has made its entry into
pocket of even a non technical user in form of Android Mobile OS.
GNU/Linux has been well known for its robust and secured architecture
and has been favourite among enterprises and researchers. Desktop
users feared it due to their misconception of it being a back screen
with white letters and needs a big book of commands to be remember to
operate it. Gone are those days when users had to rely on insecure,
buggy, virus prone and expensive operating systems just for the sake
of its user friendly Graphical User Interface. Today GNU/Linux
Operating system has matured in terms of Graphical User Interfaces and
more sophisticated usability and options.
Ubuntu is one such GNU/Linux distribution which has been popularly
used as desktop operating system and will be soon introduced on
Mobiles with the philosophy of One Desktop for all devices. It is the
right time to get acquainted with it, and be prepared for the
synchronised desktop and mobile computing.
Objectives:
The course is designed for those who want to explore alternate options
and possibilities in the desktop operating system for their day to day
work without the stress of frequent system restarts and data loss due
to virus attack.
