[ubuntu-in] scrolling is working through touchpad

Hello,
I freshly installed Kubuntu 13.10 on newly purchased Dell Vostro 2420 and
everything is working fine except touchpad.

I am able to change to position of cursor through touchpad and able to tap
(select and double click). but scrolling is not working.

In the KDE system setting its showing that "No Touchpad Detected"

where should I start troubleshoot this problem?
