I don't think there are any that won't work with Linux. (Of course the
clueless staff at the telecom companies/stores will tell you otherwise.)
I have one from MTS ( Manufacturer: ZTE, Incorporated idVendor=19d2,
idProduct=fff ) and a Tata Photon+ device (Olive Telecom - V-ME101 ,
Manufacturer: Qualcomm, Incorporated idVendor=201e, idProduct=2009 )
Both work great and can even do away with the need for usb_modeswitch since
ejecting the usb cdrom device that gets detected at first causes the device
to switch into the modem mode.
Used to have a non-EVDO device from Reliance, which worked great too. But
Reliance customer care is horrible, and they refuse to even lodge a complaint
about packet loss problems on their network if you are using Linux.
