@ Ubuntu Netbook Version
http://www.ubuntu.com/netbook/features

Its supposed to be customized for an atom processor - would the hard
ware experts please say how a vanilla ubuntu version would differ.
Second related question what does this 4 processor core really mean,
esp in the context of Ubuntu Linux

Third the "Unity" Interface - its quite easy to install just search
for netbook launcher - funnily this netbook launcher is far more
usable on a larger screen then a small screen - (esp if you are a
regular ubuntu user with tonnes of customization) . I installed it and
then very quickly uninstalled it as it was difficult to navigate - too
slow for my liking in ease of access to what i wanted

Apart from that all these so called social connectivity features etc
are already there and i think user specific. The use of these netbooks
(for who i am setting them up) is less for connectivity and more for
regular use - just that they are cheaper and more mobile.
