Hi,
while it is generally true that a LiveDVD required more RAM than a LiveCD,
I have always thought that the reason for this is that a LiveDVD will offer
you many more options on boot, has a grub-screen with colors, et al.
Other than this, I don't see any reason why a LiveDVD should take up more
RAM. It just has more content.
