This is ridiculous!!! Don't every try that in your vaguest
imaginations/dreams. :P

I feel this is how you go about it (I donno if it works)

Open "Software Sources" --> Go to "Updates tab" --> at bottom you can
see show distribution release and select  "Long term support release"
over "Normal release"

And try Alt+F2 "update-manager -d"
