Found the lohit_hi.ttf at /usr/share/fonts installed it on wincedows 7

however hidden away in the fonts option in control panel there is a
way to enable typing in Hindi - Inscript or traditional.

This seems to work ?? though don't if i had not installed the font if
it would have worked.
