[ubuntu-in] canon lbp 2900 printer problems

[stranger in black.....]

It is a new problem. This printer worked well till 8.10.

I got a requirement to install this printer in 9.10. I tried a lot
with the old driver, but all where in vein. So I googled and got this

in which they described how to do this in karmic. Still not working.

Any idea
