I think you are write, using testdisk i found exactly what was missing
and for some reason kept getting an error and as you mention its
probably because of using enter instead of "p"

will keep that in mind.

I have used testdisk sucessfully to recover HD and lost data for a lot
of people (starting of with my own data) and have used recoverjpg.

However i used recoverjpeg only on a few gb worth of data cards on not
on HD's and its probably a bruteforce recovery method not good for
large data drives

any way lesson learnt and apart from that tonnes of commands learnt as well

Work at rm *.jpg under 100 kb still in progress
