Hi

Top line is general comment

Yep i agree Ubuntu is already automated quite a bit.

However , for me personally the default Ubuntu does not work. I need
to setup quite a few other things. The reason i like the script (in
theory is) that it makes it possible to implement similar features
over a set of computers.

I think what the script aims to do is make it easier for people to do
stuff in one go, provided they agree with the original sciipters
choice of software.

mediubuntu also provides skype, googleearth and some decent media
software not accessible on other repos.

agreed - think this is a newbie feature

which is why i posted , good to know what others feel.

Regarding 10.04 - i will probably wait for a month till the initial
bugs are sorted out and then try and get Linux Mint (hearing so much
about it) or get Ultimate (as mentioned in earlier posts the Ultimate
version of ubuntu comes with almost every and makes it a really good
first time install distro)
