[ubuntu-in] Display resolution low

Guys

Thanks a lot. Did a little googling and created a new xorg.conf file in /etc
with the display modes. Works and res is now the max that  my monitor
supports.
I disnt it all these days because i had read that 9.10 does not need
xorg.conf for display. Turns out its true BUT will be used if it is found.
