I have been using Beetel wireless adsl router since past couple of
years, haven't faced any problem. Is this the wired router or one with
wireless ?

Also, there are some tricks to get to "advanced" settings (atleast on
the wireless ADSL router I have). The trick is to login in using the
following page :

http://192.168.1.1/main.html
(i.e. add main.html to the IP address).

On my wirelesee router (220BX) the first piece had a hardware problem
due to which connection would drop after a while. This was in March
2008. They subsequently changed it around that time itself, and
haven't had a problem with the replacement unit.
