Requirements
1) Install virtualbox-ose package in Ubuntu.

2) Get an ISO preferably of the OS you want to run as the guest

3) Create a new Virtual Machine, give its name and OS type.

4) Set the memory size

5) If you want to provide this virtual machine a Hard Disk, then give it 
by creating it in this step.

6) Click on this Machine, click on Settings, move to CD/DVD ROM, check 
"Mount CD/DVD Drive" and select "ISO Image file", now select the ISO 
which you made

7) Select the Virtual Machine and hit "Start"

N.B: Would be better if you do a hit-and-try. Won't hurt much and you 
would learn from the mistakes you commit if any.
