[ubuntu-in] Query: uses of /home being on a different partition

actually, having home on a different partition really helps. You can keep
all the application preferences even if u do a reinstall. U can also share
the home across different distributions. I would be really disappointed if i
loose my .vimrc and so i keep it safe on my seperate home partition.
