There are a couple of issues. Is it google-chrome, or chromium (the original open
source project which was used by google-chrome) If it is google-chrome, it can be invoked
by the google-chrome project. It should be google-chrome if you have installed it from
http://www.google.com/chrome
Regarding making more space, a quick and easy way to get more space is via cleaning up
aptitude cache. You can do that by firing this command
sudo aptitude clean
which removes all the previously downloaded .deb files (stored in /var/cache/apt/archives)
