Update. Ubuntu-8.10 has most of the recent graphics stuff. The driver
'radeon' will be supporting 3D, compiz etc on most ATI cards.
According to some xorg developers, the best supported ATI card (at the
moment) is radeon hd 1950 (that will mean the whole 1xxx series).
