[ubuntu-in] How to setup ADSL broadband in bridged mode on Ubuntu

i have switched to bridged mode using the modem interface. but i dont know
the procedure to setup a dialup connection in Ubuntu.for eg. in XP i create
new dialup connection through control panel>network connections and then
connect through it to start browsing.
whats the equivalent procedure in Ubuntu ?
