hey - so i have this problem every time my machine starts - all the windows
don't have their top-bars. right now I just get around it by doing "metacity
--replace &" at the terminal and it switches to using metacity as the window
manager and all is okay. But have still not figured out why the top-bars
disappear in the first place. I think it had something to do with messing
with Compiz. I tried disabling compiz, re-installing compiz, etc. but to no
avail. If anyone has any ideas / any debugging I can do, would be great.
Although, this is on 8.04 and I probably should just upgrade anyways.
Anyways - was just good to know someone else faced a similar problem.

Take care,
Sanjay
