[ubuntu-in] Missing tools in Ubuntu 8.10

I just installed the Global Menu bar for gnome but as described it does not
support firefox and thunderbird as they are not GTK apps

What i want to know is that - whether KMail and Konqueror are also not GTK2
apps and what are the GTK apps in Gnome and KDE4

I am an intrepid user (you can consider me to be a new bie) and want to
successfully operate global menu applet

How do i make atleast apps provided by default in GNOME and KDE4 to use the
Global Menu applet

Please help me out
