Hi,
If you have a working internet connection, then you can download and
install it on your computer. After you install the packages, they are
cached in the folder /var/cache/apt/archives. Now you need to install
AptOnCD. Open AptOnCD from System>Administration.
Now click on Create, it will search all the packages on your system and
list them down. Check the size of all the packages shown below which
shows up as Selected **/** MB.
Then click on "Burn". It will ask you whether you want to to create a
CD or DVD, you have checked the size, if size is more than 700MB, go for
DVD and click on Apply. The iso will be created and stored in your home
directory.
Now you need to burn that ISO to a CD/DVD and take it to your friend's
computer. Put it inside the drive, a popup will come saying "An
unofficial repository has been detected". Then click on "Start Package
Manager". All the packages will be imported.
Now click on Origin, you would see AptonCD/main , AptonCD/universe etc.
If you want to install all the packages contained in the CD, then search
for a package named aptoncd-metapackage.
Now click on Apply and then its all done.

Enjoy!

Regards,
Manish
