[ubuntu-in] compiling C in Hardy

Just an advance warning, since I found this very strange for
a linux system......you might be trying to compile C code
using gcc but it may not work,
with many errors saying "stdio.h: no such file...."etc

that means you need to:
$sudo apt-get install build-essentials.
