[ubuntu-in] Compiling a custom dom0 xen kernel

Hello,

I'm trying to compile myself a custom kernel with xen kernel for ubuntu,
because I require a tickless kernel and the binaries provided don't have
that support.

I tried apt-get source linux-image-2.6.24-16-xen, but this just gave me a
vanilla kernel with ubuntu patches, nothing xen specific.

Googling around led me to a make-kpkg method, which seems to be deprecated.
The required xen patch was not available in the repositories.

Is there any other way to go about this?
