i am an avid user of ubuntustudio.
it does not have all the features of a normal ubuntu, yet it does have
several packages that ubuntu does not have.
as stated earlier, it is meant for graphics artists, for audio artists
and musicians, and for video-artists and film-editing and production.

why don't you just install it and try it out? it's that simple.
