Hi
Some days back i installed 8.04 - along with my existing 7.04 (with 7.10
upgrades) and a pre-existing wincedows.
Quick Summary - everything has gone well and all 3 OS's are working.
But there are some problems
When booting up 7.04 (after selecting from the Grub Menu) i get this
error during boot up
***
Copied from the Log - but this gives the error:
Log of fsck -C -R -A -a

a Control D does the job of resuming normal boot.
So whats this problem
and then another problem - which i am sure is related is that my ntfs
partition does not auto mount.
my df -h is
~$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda8 4.2G 3.0G 1016M 75% /
varrun 760M 128K 760M 1% /var/run

/dev/sda6 99M 24M 71M 26% /media/disk
/dev/sda9 6.1G 2.1G 3.8G 36% /media/disk-1
**
what is missing here is /dev/sda1 which is my ntfs section.

so how can i rectify this ??
****
One of the reasons for dual booting 7.10 and 8.04 is that i can't get
net to work on 8.04 so am keeping 7.10 till that issue is resolved (see
mails Problems Setting Up Huawei ets2288 - CDMA (BSNL WLL) on Hardy Heron)
thanks
