Am looking for suggestions for a *new* laptop in the range of 18 to 22 K 
- all costs included.

Preferred Specs -
14.1 inch screen
Optical Drive - CDRW / DVD reader
Touch pad
USB Ports,
VGA out
Audio In / Out
Modem - that might work with Linux ???
OS - No need for any pre-installed software - we will install Ubuntu
Warranty
Upgradeable RAM - minimum 1 GB
HD - as big as possible
Processor - anything that is compatible with Linux and not too slow
Graphics - decent built in one will do
Battery - replaceable and decent
Weight - not too heavy
PCMCIA slot
