This is what one some of the documents were saying about upgrading from 
7.04 feisty fawn to 7.10 gutsy gibbon

that your current installation is completely up to date. This will help 
avoid conflicts or missed packages during the upgrade process.

what will happen in case of a conflict or missing package and is there a 
work around, since updating the older 7.04 again means a requirement for 
bandwidth

if it is necessary what 7.04 repos do i need to make sure are enabled to 
ensure a complete and thorough update.
