[ubuntu-in] Setting up local apt-get repository ? - SOLVED

Hi

Well in the end it was pretty easy, just some some corrections in the
grammar.

copied thedists and pool directories from the  five ubuntu gutsy gibbon
dvd's to separate locations like
/media/disk/ubuntu/gibbon1/
/gibbon2 , gibbon3/ ....and so on

and then added the following lines to my /etc/apt/sources.list

deb file:///media/disk/ubuntu/gibbon1/ gutsy main multiverse universe
deb file:///media/disk/ubuntu/gibbon2/ gutsy main multiverse universe
deb file:///media/disk/ubuntu/gibbon3/ gutsy main multiverse universe
deb file:///media/disk/ubuntu/gibbon4/ gutsy main multiverse universe
deb file:///media/disk/ubuntu/gibbon5/ gutsy main multiverse universe

and now it works beautifully.


The mistake i was making was that there were 4 / (slashes) instead of 3
hence the error.

I added a dvd / cd of Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 and this was the line in
