[ubuntu-in] Two hindi script options in Ubuntu ??

Hi

Noticed some time back (after installing 8.04.1) that two keyboard options
are vailable for hindi

the default hindi (india) keyboard that writes what i thought was the
default hindi / devnagari unicode script

but there seems to be another bol nagari script

so why are both included
and forgive my ignorance but are both unicode
and finally what to M$ wincedows users user
