I've posted my notes for installation on an HP tx1003au laptop. A lot of
issues faced(audio, wifi, boot params) should be common for many recent HP
laptops.

My install was not very smooth but same was the case with feisty.
My first impression is not too bad. I love the way the screen dims
automatically when laptop is not in use. I think that is a great feature for
saving battery.
I also like the improved icons in the menu. The only problem was that it
took me a lot of time to figure out how to disable compiz. I don't use it
because it doesn't work with VNC.
Regards,
Manu

Faced a couple of problems. Took a couple of hours to fix it all. Everything
