Mir,

99.99% of open source applications are available for 64 bit systems.
This includes eclipse and related tools. It is in gutsy repository or
you can download latest version 3.3 from eclipse website (gutsy still
has 3.2.2).
One of the main problem from home user's point of view was flash
(previously), but with gnash project even that is solved to a large
extent.
